Born in the Doblensky county of Courland province .
In 1905 he headed the fighting squad of the Becker wire factory in Libau .
In 1908, a Riga court sentenced him to 15 years in hard labor .
After the February Revolution, he freed himself and came to Moscow .

October 29, 1917 , during the assault on the cadet corps in Lefortovo , was wounded in the leg.
November 17, 1917 he died in the General Military Hospital from wounds.
He was buried on November 17, 1917 near the Kremlin wall .
