Construction began in the 1970s . The avenue is built up mainly of nine-story and higher panel houses. In recent decades, the construction of high-rise monolithic and frame-block houses has been started along the avenue.

The avenue begins at the interchange with Vaneeva, Trostenetskaya and Oleg Koshevoy streets, crosses Plekhanov street and ends with the intersection with Malinin street near the Chizhov reservoir . Throughout the avenue there is a bus and intensive trolleybus service. The nearest metro stations - Proletarskaya , Tractor Plant , Partizanskaya - are located about two kilometers from the avenue.

In 2011, it was planned to expand the avenue to eight lanes and equip a pedestrian boulevard with small recreation areas and bike paths along it. Previously, it was planned to put a light rail line along the avenue [1] . Later, the construction of the tram line was excluded from the project. On the places reserved for tram tracks, car parking is available.

Notes

  1. ↑ The first light rail will be launched in Minsk in 2011
