Relief

The park is located on the southwestern edge of the Ingul block of the Ukrainian crystalline shield . Limestones , clays and sands here lie on Precambrian formations - gneisses , granites , which in the valleys of the Ingul rivers and its tributaries - Berezovka, Sagaidak, Stolbovaya - sometimes surface, creating unique attractive landscape formations, the isotopic age of which is determined by geologists at 1.8 -2.2 billion years.

Individual, most conspicuous or colorful, outcrops of crystalline rocks received their own names. Several legends are composed of some of them, such as the cliffs above Ingul “Pugach”, “Pillar” (or “Rock of Stone Knights”, “Petrified Knights”, etc.), “Sleeping Beauty”, “Wall” or just "Ustya" (from the word "Estuary") near the mouth of the river. Birch at the confluence of the river. Ingul . South of the village Rozanovka is also the “Wall” or “Raven Rock”, on which a pair of ravens have nested since ancient times. There are two more “Pugachs” - “Old” and “Young”. There are fantastically attractive outcrops of granite - “Stone Chimera Coast”, a granite plateau at the confluence of the river. Stovpova with the river. Ingul, called "Chortov Bridge" and others.

Plant World

The flora of the territory of the Pringulsky RLP totals about 600 species of plants, including 20 species listed in the Red Book of Ukraine , four on the European Red List , five on the World Red List, and one on the list of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Wild Fauna and Flora and natural habitats in Europe , 12 species - in the Regional list of the Nikolaev area.

In addition to the steppe, meadow – steppe, meadow, forest, and rocky species that are characteristic of our zone, there are many coastal and Black Sea endemic species, such as Scythian caragana (Caragana scythica), Scythian gorse (Genista scythsca), Odessa Astragalus (Astragalus odessana), as well as relict, rare and endangered species that represent a unique phytogenofund, for example, a relict species, the Odessa gymnospermium (Gymnospermium odessanum), which has been found several curtains over the past two years.

Miraculously, in the spring, various landscape formations are adorned with a cinquefoil sandy, aurinia rocky, several types of violets, compacted corydalis, two - leafed scilla, bug tulip, irises are low, and in summer - a rainbow mosaic of steppe forbs. In autumn, the slopes turn red from the fruits of hawthorn , wild rose , from the leaves of European euonymus , common barberry , are full of apricot and ash colors. It attracts many medicinal plants. Majestic placers of stones from early spring to late autumn bloom mosses and lichens .

Only in the RLP, in the Shchorsovsky Park, on the former estate of the landowners Tropins, you can see ancient ash-trees , smooth elms , three-throated glacias, and three of them hug a black poplar .

Fauna

Intensive economic activity also had an impact on the wildlife of Pringulsky RLP: cattle grazing, recreational loads, recreational fishing, poaching in the Sofievsky reservoir, steppe and forest fires - all this depletes the fauna, but it is much better preserved in the RLP than in adjacent agrolandscapes.

There are rare and endangered species of animals that are under protection. These are polyxena ( Zerynthia polyxena ), machaon ( Papilio machaon ), giant scolia ( Scolia maculata ), common carpenter bee ( Xylocopa valga ), podalirium ( Iphiclides podalirius ), yellow-bellied bellworm (Coluber jugularis), brown mufu ( Bute ruus ) Mustela eversmanii ), river otter ( Lutra lutra ), etc.
