Story
A new employee, a young African-American named Tai Hackett, joins the group of security guards- collectors working in the private company Eagle Shield . His colleagues (whose duties include transporting money from the Federal Reserve Bank to local banks) kindly accept him as a member of his team, and group leader Mike Cochran gives special attention and support to the newcomer. Ty lives with his younger brother named Jimmy, whose guardian he is. However, the local bank intends to confiscate the house in which the brothers live for the regular non-payment of mortgage fees. Mike Cochran, learning about the financial problems of the newcomer, begins to hint to Tyu that he and four of his colleagues are hatching a plan to rob two collector cars, which they themselves work on.
On the agreed day, two Eagle Shield armored vehicles will have to carry $ 42 million. Mike and his colleagues want to present the case as if on the way to the bank unknown robbers attacked their cars. In fact, they are going to drop into an abandoned factory and, having pulled safes out of cars, take their money. Mike invites Taya to take part in this scam . Ty at first sharply rejects Mike’s offer to take part in a mock robbery, but money problems make him reluctant to agree. However, Tai makes one single condition: no blood should be shed during the entire operation and no one should be hurt. Mike assures Ty that this condition will be easily met, since none of the outsiders will be involved in the case. “We are all ours,” he says.
First, everything goes according to plan: During the working day, Mike, Tai and four of their colleagues call in two armored vehicles into the territory of an abandoned factory, unload the safe from the first car and, taking out all the banknotes, hide them in a pit. But, before they manage to start unloading the second car, they suddenly notice that someone is secretly watching them from the side. Armed collectors begin a frantic hunt for a stranger, who turns out to be a miserable homeless tramp. Having caught up with the homeless , they kill him. Ty suddenly realizes that he is stuck in a criminal story. Shocked by the murder, he dramatically changes his attitude to what is happening and tells Mike that he wants to notify the police about what happened. Mike and his friends threaten him with violence. Tye, seizing the moment, crawls into the second armored vehicle and locks inside it.
The robbers only have about half an hour to lure him out of the car and gain access to the money. Feverish attempts to open the car body begin: they try to knock out the door hinges and hinges of the body with a wedge and a metal sledgehammer . With every blow of the sledgehammer, the terrible denouement of the situation is inexorably approaching. However, Tyu suddenly manages to temporarily turn on the car's alarm . The noise of the alarm catches the attention of a young policeman named Jake Eckhart, who was having breakfast in the city at that time. Jake in a police car drives into the factory to inspect it. It is immediately noticed by attackers. In order to divert the attention of the policeman from the robbery, Mike leaves the building and, posing as a factory guard, tells Jake that everything is calm in the factory and there is nothing suspicious. However, at this very moment, Tyu manages to turn on the alarm again. The shooting begins and the robbers manage to seriously injure the policeman. They drag him inside the building and leave him to lie in a pool of blood.
Due to disagreements, disputes and abuse begin among the robbers, which temporarily distracts their attention from Ty. Taking advantage of this, Tye secretly crawls out of the car and throws an incendiary bomb into the pit with stolen money. The robbers are trying to extinguish the flame, and in the meantime, Ty quietly drags Jake into the armored car and will provide him with primary medical care. Now Tye has the opportunity to use the police walkie-talkie .
After Ty nevertheless called a police patrol, one of the attackers brings Ty's brother, a frightened teenager named Jimmy, to the factory. They threaten to kill Jimmy if Ty doesn't get out of the car.
In the end, after further dizzying events, the robbers plan completely fails, and Tyu and Jake manage to escape. Jake hides Ty's involvement in the robbery. The manager of the collection service thanks Ty for his courage and promises him a generous financial reward.
