Biography

Vladimir Alekseevich Lytkin was born in Arzamas into a military family. After his parents moved in 1945 to Kaluga, he studied at school number 5, just at the time when Bulat Okudzhava taught there.

In 1958 he graduated from the history department of the Kaluga State Pedagogical Institute . He worked as a tutor of an orphanage in Kozelsky district , an instructor and head of the department of the Komsomol regional committee and the regional party committee . While at the party work, V. A. Lytkin contributed to the creation of memorial complexes in honor of the liberation of Kaluga from the German fascist invaders, as well as in perpetuating the memory of G. K. Zhukov in the Zhukovsky district .

In 1977, after graduating from the graduate school of the Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the CPSU , he defended his thesis on "Criticism of the views of Western authors on the role and purpose of the intelligentsia in the USSR" [1] . Since 1987 - Rector of the Kaluga State Pedagogical Institute . K. E. Tsiolkovsky. He was elected a deputy of the Kaluga Regional Council of People's Deputies , Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Kaluga Region universities, a member of the Council of the Russian Council of Rectors. In 2004, he ceased to head the university, but for four more years he remained the head of the university-wide department of history and political science, which he headed since 1991.

In 2008, the book entitled The History of the Formation and Development of the Russian Statehood, which was published under his editorship, was recommended by the UME Moscow State Pedagogical University in the field of pedagogical education as a teaching aid for university students.

Activities on the post of rector of KSPU. C. E. Tsiolkovsky

V. A. Lytkin made a great contribution to the development of educational activities at the university. During his stay at the head of the institute, three new faculties were opened: social work (1991), intercollegiate engineering and pedagogical faculty (1992), interuniversity faculty of practical psychology (1993), as well as a staff retraining center (1991 .). Thus, the number of faculties has increased by one third, students have been trained in many new specialties, and for the first time in the history of the institute, some of them did not belong directly to the field of school teaching, for example, social work , practical psychology . In order to ensure the quality of training in new areas, practitioners were involved in teaching at the faculty of social work, and contacts were established with social organizations in Kaluga region. The inter-university form of organization was used in relation to the two faculties: the co-founders of the psychology department were the Obninsk Institute of Atomic Energy and the Higher College of Psychology of the Institute of Psychology of the Russian Academy of Sciences , the engineering and pedagogical faculty - Kaluga Branch of the Moscow State Technical University. N. E. Bauman . This form of organization allowed the use of laboratories and the development of the co-founders' universities in the process of teaching students along with the methodical, material and technical base of KSPI, providing the necessary level of training for graduates.

Thanks to the work carried out Lytkinym in 1994 KGPI them. K.E. Tsiolkovsky received university status.

In 2001, on the basis of the reorganization of the faculty of social relations, the first institute was created in the structure of the university.

Under V. A. Lytkin, the system of organizing scientific activity in the KSPU and training its own personnel has changed significantly. Although graduate school at the university has worked since 1975 [2] , however, there were no own dissertation councils, which significantly complicated the process of defending dissertations after its completion. Dissertational councils for the defense of candidate and doctoral theses were first opened at the KSPU during the reign of V. A. Lytkina [3] .

  • The first defense of a thesis for the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences was held on May 16, 1996 [4] . Specialty - "Theory and methods of vocational education" [5] . In 2000, on the basis of this dissertation council, a council was opened to defend doctoral dissertations in the following specialties: theory and methods of vocational education (pedagogical sciences); educational psychology (psychological sciences); developmental psychology, acmeology (psychological sciences). In 2003, they added the specialty General Pedagogy, History of Pedagogy and Education (pedagogical sciences) [6] [7] .
  • In October 1996, in the KSPU. K. E. Tsiolkovsky opened the second dissertation council with the right to defend his theses in the Russian language (philological sciences) [5] [8] .
  • On November 3, 1997, a dissertation council was set up at the university to defend PhD theses in the following specialties: wildlife conservation (biological sciences), as well as environmental protection and rational use of natural resources (geographical sciences) [5] . In 2001, on its basis, the Council for the Protection of Candidate Theses on Ecology (Biological Sciences) and Geoecology (Geographical Sciences) was opened [6] [9] .
  • Since 2002, a dissertation council has been working at the university with the right to defend candidate dissertations in thermal physics and theoretical heat engineering (technical sciences), as well as turbomachines and combined turbine installations (technical sciences) [6] [10] .

Also during his tenure as rector, two museums were opened at the university. March 18, 1989 - museum-room AL Chizhevsky , in April 1998 - the Museum of History of KSU. K.E. Tsiolkovsky .
