Creativity
At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, there were no Azerbaijani actresses, and therefore their roles were played by men, including Ahmed Agdamsky, whose pleasant voice, graceful physique and short stature helped him in creating female images.
In the works of Uzeyir Hajibeyov , his cousin, he played the role of Leyli (“ Leyli and Majnun ”), to which he was persuaded by his brother Badalbek, in connection with the refusal of Farajev (due to persecution of opponents of the theater) [2] , Asli ( “Asli and Kerem ” ), Gulnaz (“ Not that, so this ”), Gulchokhry ( “ Arshin mal alan ” ), Minnat khanum (“ Husband and wife ”), Takhmins (“ Rustam and Zohrab ”), Khurshidban “ Shah Abbas and Khurshidban ” [one]
In 1916, Ahmed Agdamsky starred in the first Azerbaijani comedy “Arshin Mal Alan” , based on the operetta of the same name by Uzeyir Hajibeyov. [3]
