Vorontsovo-Nikolaevsky district (Salsky district)

Vorontsovo-Nikolaevsky District is an administrative-territorial unit that existed as part of the Salsk District of the South-East ( North Caucasus Territory ) of the RSFSR in 1924-1930 .

The administrative center is the settlement of Torgovaya (from June 1924 to March 1926), the village of Vorontsovo-Nikolaevskoye (from March 1926 to August 1930).

History

Vorontsovo-Nikolaevsky district was transferred to the Salsk district of the South-East of Russia from the Stavropol province on the basis of the resolution of the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee dated June 2, 1924 on the new administrative-territorial division of the South-East [1] [2] .

As of September 1924, the following village councils were included in the Vorontsovo-Nikolaevsky district: Baranikovsky, Berezovsky, Bogoroditsky, Vorontsovo-Nikolaevsky, Yekaterinovsky, Ivanovsky, Krucheno-Balkovsky, German-Khaginsky, Nikolaevsky, Novo-Egorlyksky, Novo-Manychsky, Polivansky, Razvilensky, Romanovsky, Sandatovsky, Sysoyevo-Aleksandrovsky, Shablievsky, Esto-Haginsky [1] .

In October 1924, the Southeast Region was renamed the North Caucasus Territory. From that time on, the Vorontsovo-Nikolaevsky District was part of the Salsk District of the North Caucasus Territory.

In March 1925, the German-Khaginsky and Esto-Khaginsky village councils were transferred to the Kalmyk Autonomous Region.

In accordance with the decree of the Presidium of the North Caucasus regional executive committee of August 7, 1930, the Vorontsovo-Nikolaevsky district was renamed the Salsky district with its center in the city of Salsk (the former settlement of Torgovy). Since August 1930 , with the abolition of the Salsk District, the district became directly subordinate to the North Caucasus Territory .
