Geographical position
The Gornyatskoye urban village is located on the left bank of the Solenaya River, the village of Shakhtyor (Nikopolsky District) is located upstream at a distance of 3 km, the city of Pokrov is located downstream at a distance of 5.5 km, the village of Khmelnitsky (Nikopolsky District is located on the opposite bank) )
History
- It arose in 1886 due to the development of manganese deposits. The first mines and the mining community were called Pokrovsky mines.
- 1956 - assigned the status of urban-type settlement .
In January 1989, the population was424 people [2] .
According to the 2001 census, the population was 374 people [3] .
As of January 1, 2013, the population was 365 people [4] .

The village is surrounded by the quarries of Pokrovsky GOK
