History
The first amphibious automaton samples were created on the basis of the Sea Lion AFM-DT and used special ammunition with needle-shaped bullets for firing under water, and standard cartridges of 5.45 × 39 mm . After the Tula Instrument Engineering Bureau developed a new PSP cartridge, identical in size to the “surface” cartridge of 5.45 × 39 mm, a new version of ADS was created, this time on the basis of A-91 .
In 2007, the design development was completed, but over the next five years, testing and refinement of the structure continued. The automaton was first shown at the KBP stand at the IMDS-2013 salon [2] .
Description
The machine is equipped with a switch of operating modes of the water / air gas exhaust mechanism, a detachable 40 mm grenade launcher , and combined seats for all types of sights .
A low-noise firing device or a nozzle for firing blank cartridges can be mounted on the barrel. As with the A-91, liner extraction is carried out using a special forward channel, which ensures proper convenience of automatic firing from both right-handers and left-handers.
ADF exceeds AK74M and APS in accuracy of fire in air and under water, respectively.
