Alena Zhukova ( born Alena Joukova ; real name Olga Grigoryevna Zhukova , born May 31, 1957 , Odessa ) is a Russian writer and screenwriter, film critic. Member of the Moscow branch of the Union of Writers of Russia, the International Society of A.P. Chekhov, the Union of Writers of the XXI Century, the Union of Filmmakers of Ukraine. Vice President, Program Director of the Russian Cinema Festival in Canada - Toronto Russian Film Festival (TRFF), Program Director of the Canadian Cinema Days in Moscow "Canadian Mosaic" 2009.

Biography
Born in Odessa. She worked at the Odessa film studio as a music editor, editor, member of the scenario board and editor-in-chief of the Arcadia Creative Association.
Since 1994, lives in Toronto [1] .

Editor-in-chief of the Canadian literary magazine "New World" [3] . Coordinator and member of the jury of the literary prize named after E. Hemingway and the All-Canada children's literary contest "We write and speak Russian." The official representative of Nikita Mikhalkov’s magazine “Svoy”. In 2009, in the Publishing House of Nikita Mikhalkov, “The Siberian Barber”, a short prose book “Why Marina's Apples Dreamed” was published [4] . Then this book was published in October 2010 in the publishing house EKSMO (Moscow) in the section Modern prose and dramaturgy in the category “Simple Things” [5] . The book was praised by critics. The opening address was written by the famous writer, laureate of many literary prizes - Lyudmila Ulitskaya [6] [7] . In 2011, the EKSMO publishing house (Moscow) released the novel “Duet for Solitude”, which was included in the long list of the Russian Prize 2011 [8] [9] . In the same year, Alena Zhukova became the laureate of the prize of the magazine “Children of Ra” in the nomination “Prose” [10] . In 2014, her story appeared in the collection “Hello, Doctor!
