Blood on the Tracks - the fifteenth studio album by American artist and singer Bob Dylan , was released in January 1975 via Columbia Records , Dylan returned to Columbia after recording two albums on Asylum Records .

About the album
This album, unlike the previous ones, which earned rather restrained ratings, was enthusiastically received. After the release of this album began to be ranked among the best works of Dylan. Often, in a review of one or another of his subsequent albums, you can read “the best after Blood on the Tracks .” [1] [2] [3] [4] Most of the songs on the album touch on themes of heartache, anger and loneliness. In 2003, the album took 16th place in the list of 500 greatest albums of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine .
The album reached 1st position in the American Billboard pop charts and 4th place in Britain. The single “ Tangled Up in Blue ” rose to # 31 on the pop singles chart. The album remains one of Dylan's best-selling works and is double platinum [5] .
