The Union of Artists of Azerbaijan is a creative public organization, a voluntary association of professional artists and art historians - creative workers operating in the territory of Azerbaijan .

Content
History
Since 1920, the organization began in the republic in the field of art, culminating in the creation in 1932 of the Union of Soviet Artists of Azerbaijan . In 2006 , the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan celebrated its 65th anniversary. The anniversary was marked by the opening of an exposition dedicated to the development of the fine arts of the republic over the past decades.
Activities
Organizes republican exhibitions, contests, exhibitions of foreign artists in Azerbaijan, conducts activities to promote and aesthetic education. The Union of Artists operates the Association of Young Artists and Art Critics. I commissioned the House of Artists at 130 workshops. Includes about 800 members of the Union. Annually organizes exhibitions dedicated to the Spring Festival, "Novruz" dedicated to Republic Day, "May 28", exhibitions of works by young artists, as well as exhibitions of young artists dedicated to International Children's Day. Annually takes part in "Art - salons", held by the International Confederation of Artists' Unions.
Established Prizes
The Union of Artists of Azerbaijan established a prize named after a Persian artist - a miniaturist of the 16th century. Soltan Mohammed , which is awarded once every two years to artists and art historians.
