Career
In 2007, Fernandez finished the season at PIOS among the leaders, and thanks to this he got the right to speak on the main tour . But due to poor results, he could not gain a foothold in the main tour for another season, and again dropped out in PIOS. Fernandez was professional before, but he never managed to stay on the tour for two seasons. The Irishman's best achievement is the 1/8 finals of the 2003 Welsh Open , when he defeated Fergal O'Brien and Mark King . In 1999, he reached the 1/16 finals of the World Cup , but lost to Ronnie O'Sullivan 3:10. In 2004, at the same tournament, Leo had another opportunity to get into the main stage, but in the match for the 1/16 exit, he lost to Dominic Dale , 8:10.
Leo Fernandez was a rival to Jamie Burnett in the 2004 UK Championship match, when Burnett made his first and so far only break of more than 147 points (148).
