Biography

Olga Solovova started volleyball in 1966 in Sverdlovsk with coach O.S. Rumyantsev.

In 1971-1982 she played for the Uralochka team ( Sverdlovsk ). In its composition:

  • 5-time champion of the USSR 1978-1982;
    • silver medalist of the USSR championship 1977 ;
  • two-time winner of the European Cup - 1981 , 1982 .

As part of the national team of the RSFSR, she twice became the silver medalist of the Spartakiads of the peoples of the USSR ( 1975 and 1979 ). Champion of the World Universiade 1979 in the student team of the USSR.

In the national team of the USSR in official competitions she performed in 1979-1981. In its composition:

  • Olympic champion 1980 ;
  • 1981 World Cup bronze medalist;
  • European Champion 1979 ;
    • silver medalist of the 1981 European Championship ;

Graduated from Ural State Pedagogical University . Currently, he works as an instructor and methodologist in the SDYUSSHOR Lokomotiv-Izumrud ( Yekaterinburg ) [1] .
