Monte Verde
Monte Verde , isp. Monte Verde , letters. Zelená Hora is an archaeological monument in the south-central part of Chile .
The age of the monument is 14.5 thousand years ago [1] . Thus, Monte Verde, if its dating is correct, is evidence of the appearance of Paleo-Indians in America at least 1,000 years before Clovis . Initially, the finds in Monte Verde were rejected by the archaeological community, but over time they began to receive increasing recognition [2] [3] , despite continued criticism from those who advocate the theory that the first wave of American settlement was linked to Clovis [4] .
