Biography
Alexander Shelenkov was born on December 13 (26), 1903 in the village of Zameshie (now Smolensk region ).
In 1928 he graduated from the camera department of the State College of Cinematography. Since 1927, assistant cameraman at the studio Mezhrabpomfilm .
The pictorial side of his films differs in restrained, but richly nuanced plasticity; high emotional activity and a keen sense of authenticity. A. V. Shelenkov is the author of articles on camera art.
From 1944, he worked with his wife as an operator, I. E. Chen .
Alexander Vladimirovich Shelenkov died on September 16, 1996, was buried in Moscow at the Kuntsevo Cemetery [1] .
