Biography

She started playing volleyball in her native village of Losevo in a village school. 1st coach - Viktor Fedorovich Kolodyazhny. She played for the teams: 1974-1975 - Dynamo ( Voronezh ), 1975-1984 - Uralochka ( Sverdlovsk ), 1985-1987 - Energia ( Voronezh ). In the "Uralochka" 5 times became the champion of the USSR and twice the winner of the European Champions Cup . Two-time winner of the Games of the peoples of the USSR in the national team of the RSFSR .

In the national team of the USSR in official competitions appeared in 1977-1981. In its composition it became the winner and the prize-winner of the largest international tournaments, in particular the Olympic champion in 1980 , the bronze medalist of the World Championship 1978 and the World Cup 1981 , the champion of Europe 1979 .

Irina Makogonova graduated from the Sverdlovsk State Pedagogical Institute (now the Ural State Pedagogical University ). Since 1988 - in coaching. In 1988–2008 - head coach of the Voronezh women's volleyball teams "Energy", "Record", CBC. Since 2009 - Director of the Volleyball Sports School of the Voronezh Region, First Vice-President of the Voronezh Regional Volleyball Federation.
