It is located 38.1 km (23.7 miles) northwest of the London Charing Cross Station, thus being the second London Underground station west of the city center after Chesham Station.
The station is also operated by the Chiltern Railways railway company in the section from London Marylebone Station to Aylesbury . Travel time between Amersham and various central London stations on the same line ranges from 30 minutes (non-stop Chiltern Railways train to Marylebone) to 67 minutes (metro with all stops to Oldgate ) [2] .
