" Incident " " Kate 's Acts "

Story

In the first episode of the season, a new way of narration is revealed in the series, which consists in alternating scenes from ordinary and so-called alternative reality , which arose after the explosion in The Incident .

Alternative reality

In an alternative reality, flight 815 does not crash on the Island , passengers feel only a few jolts. On the plane , unlike the original flight, is Desmond , but Shannon is missing, who, according to Boone , decided to stay in Australia with her boyfriend. Just like in ordinary reality, Charlie went to take a dose to the toilet , but this time he felt bad, because he tried to hide a bag of heroin under his tongue. Said knocks out the door, and Jack brings Charlie to his senses, after which he is arrested. Kate again flies in handcuffs under the supervision of a bailiff, and Hurley is again rich, but not cursed. Song and Jin fly together, but they are not married. The plane lands safely in Los Angeles , and all passengers leave the board.

The island in this reality rests on the bottom of the sea, along with Dharmavill, sound fence and the remnants of the four-toed statue.

At the airport, Jack is informed that his father’s coffin was lost. Jack is clearly upset. He walks back and forth, talking on his cell phone with his mother, saying that the funeral is canceled.

Jin and Song are trying to go through customs, but officials are puzzled because of their lack of knowledge of English . They find the watch that Jin carries, and, unable to understand that this is a business gift , they continue to search his bag. Finding a pouch containing stacks of undeclared cash, Agent Smalli takes Jean away to subject him to full inspection. And another woman advises Sung, if she knows a little English , to help solve a misunderstanding with their things, but Sung says she does not understand.

After we again show Jack . He sits in a small waiting room and meets Locke . They begin to talk, Jack complains that the coffin with his father was lost, Locke says in consolation that he lost a suitcase with a pile of knives . Apparently, in gratitude for what he heard, Jack draws attention to the fact that Locke is disabled, and asks him about it. “My illness is incurable,” says Locke. “Nothing is impossible,” Jack replies. He offers him a free consultation, gives his business card and says that everything for Locke will be free.

Meanwhile, Kate tells bailiff Edward Mars that she needs to go to the toilet while sitting in a booth, she is trying to remove the handcuffs with a pen, which she pulled off in the cabin from Jack's pocket during their collision at the restroom. When the police officer discovers the spring from the handle near the cabin, he demands that she come out, but Kate knocks down the door, knocking Edward down, hitting the sink. He loses consciousness. Kate runs off with a Mars gun, but is seen by two women who come out of the restroom and ask for help, as Kate tells them that he tried to attack her. Kate enters the elevator, where she meets Sawyer. He notices handcuffs on her wrists, despite Kate's attempt to cover them. Two of the airport’s security personnel enter the elevator and announce the problem to them via the radio. Sawyer assumes that Kate is involved in it, and the next time the elevator opens, Sawyer holds the door and says, “First lady,” so that Kate can leave before the security officers understand who they are looking for. Leaving the elevator for baggage claim, Kate notices airport employees looking for the attacker on the marshal. Kate is sneaking around where the security staff can't see her. From there, Kate runs outside and tries to take a taxi. Neil “Froghurt” tells her that there is a line in a taxi, and Kate stands in line behind Hurley. As a result, she jumps into someone's taxi. And the taxi driver says that he already has a passenger, but Kate points a gun at him and orders him to go. On the seat next to Kate is Claire Littleton .

2007

After the Incident, Kate first comes to her senses. Miles walks up to her, and together they discover Jack and Sawyer lying unconscious. Kate looks at Sawyer, but still runs up to Jack. At the site of the mine, they discover a pit. Sawyer blames Jack for Juliet's death. At this time, Jin runs to them, leaving Hurley with wounded Said. Sawyer is still trying to pounce on Jack when everyone hears the moans coming from under the metal piles and realize that Juliet is still alive. While the others are trying to save Juliet, Jacob approaches Hurley and says that he died an hour ago. Jacob advises him to take Said to the Temple and not to forget to bring a guitar case with him. Together, Juliet was recovered from the rubble, but she was badly wounded. Not having time to say her last words, Juliet dies. They kiss for the last time, Sawyer takes her lifeless body into his arms and says, turning to Jack: "You did it."

After the assassination of Jacob, Ben leaves the room under the four-toed foot, where Richard takes him to Locke's body. Despite the disagreement of Ilana and Richard , Bram decides to kill the enemy Jacob, who assumed the appearance of Locke , with a pair of volunteers. However, their bullets did not cause any visible harm; Locke himself, turning into a smoke monster, killed them all.

Sawyer remains to bury Juliet. He refuses to help Kate and asks for help from Miles. With his help, he was able to talk to her for the last time. Miles sends Sawyer the words of Juliet: "It worked." Hurley, Gene, Jack and Kate carried Said to the Temple, where they were first shot by the Others . Hurley gave them the guitar case. There was a wooden ankh in it, inside of which was a note from Jacob indicating the names of those who had come. After that, others agreed to help. Said was dipped in a healing spring that was contaminated with something shortly before. The contaminated source did not help Said, he died. In a conversation with the Others, Hurley mentioned that Jacob was killed. Then they announced the alarm, sent a flare of that part of the Others, which was located at the remains of the statue, closed in the Temple, sprinkling a path around it from the ashes.

The man in black, in the guise of Locke, speaks to Ben about John and declares that he wants to return home. Leaving Jacob's home, he walks up to Richard and says, "It's nice to see you without chains." Richard recognized him, and then the impostor knocked out the adviser to the Others. Having said that everyone disappointed him, he carried Richard into the jungle.

Another named Lennon [4] , who translated the words of the main in the Temple - Dogen, wants to talk to Jack alone, but he refuses. The fight begins, and at this moment Said comes to himself ...
