Paigu ( timpani ) is a percussion musical instrument , developed in the middle of the last century on the basis of a number of percussion musical instruments popular among the people.
Paigu consist of 5-6 timpani of different sizes and pitch. Timpani are fixed on a special iron stand. Different sounds are extracted from both sides, in addition, on both sides of the timpani there are devices for adjusting the sound. The range of sounds can reach four to five octaves . Due to the different pitch and diversity of the timbre, Paigu is able to create vivid sound effects. Paigu is ideal for performing live compositions, it is used as an instrument for the ensemble and is part of percussion bands.
