The Netherlands Football Championship 1995–1996 is the 40th official professional football championship in the Netherlands. The Ajax became the champion of the Netherlands 26 times in its history. A total of 306 games were played and 920 goals scored (an average of 3 goals per game). In the current season, three points instead of two in previous seasons began to win for a win.
