History

Barrichello drives the Honda RA106 at the 2006 US Grand Prix .

Since 1968 , Honda has not had its own team in Formula 1 , limiting the supply of its engines to other teams. In the fall of 2005, Honda bought out the shares of the BAR team, which had previously supplied its engines, and announced the factory team to participate in the 2006 World Cup.

Piloted RA106 Brazilian Rubens Barrichello and Englishman Jenson Button . Englishman Button managed to win the team’s only victory at the 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix .

The upgraded RA106 chassis was used by the Super Aguri team under the name Super Aguri SA07 in 2007 .
