Biography
The origin of Raculph is not exactly established. It is assumed that he is identical to that of Raculfus, who in 865 signed a charter in which the king of Lorraine Lothar II agreed to return to the court of his wife Teutberg.
Raculph's predecessor, Summer I , was only mentioned in historical sources in 884 when he was announced to be Viscount Macon. Raculphus is mentioned with the title Viscount Macon in a document given by the Duke of Aquitaine by Guillaume I on November 1 or 9, 893 . In it, Raculfe is called the person appointed to this post by this duke.
The daughter of Raculph from an unknown wife, Tolan, married Count Macon Aubrey I , after which the Viscountry was united with the possessions of the latter.
