Geographical position
The village of Mironovka is located on the banks of the Kabanya River, which after 2.5 km flows into the Orel River (left tributary). There are several dams on the river. At a distance of 3 km are the villages of Verkhnyaya Orelka , Oleyniki (Sakhnovschinsky district) and Koptevka .

The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded to residents of the village Boris Grigoryevich Kolodchenko (posthumously), who burned down in a tank in one of the battles, and Ivan Arkhipovich Usenko for courage and bravery shown in the battles for the city of Schwerin (Germany).
