Construction History

Enrolled in the lists of the Navy of the USSR on April 29, 1954 . Laid at the plant number 190 to them. A. A. Zhdanov October 19, 1955 (building number 741), launched on October 30, 1956 . The ship was received by the fleet on September 18, 1956 , on September 26, 1957, the Soviet naval flag was raised on the ship, on November 15 the destroyer joined the Soviet Navy [1] .

Service

After passing the acceptance tests in Kronstadt and Baltiysk on November 15, 1957, the destroyer Resourceful arrived in Severomorsk . On the way, for the first time the ship carried out in the Skagerrak Strait, receiving fuel on the move at 14 knots. In August 1959, the ship took part in submarine search exercises, on December 7, 1960 it was repaired in Kronstadt. after the completion of the repair, arrived on April 9, 1962 in the Northern Fleet and became part of the 170th BEM . From June 18 to July 7, 1965, the destroyer set sail to search for American SSBNs as part of the Pechora exercise, from August 7 to October 2, he performed military service in the Mediterranean Sea, after which he switched to the Black Sea Fleet , where from December 25 1965 to November 6, 1966 was upgraded by the project 56-A; December 25, 1966 transferred to the Navy [1] .

From January 1 to July 1967 and from August 1 to December 31, 1968, the destroyer provided the Soviet naval presence in Egypt and tracked the US Navy AUG in the Arab-Israeli conflict zone. Design Features

On the destroyer, a light-weight fore-mast was originally installed (strengthened during the subsequent modernization), instead of the Zarya radar, the Volna radar was originally deployed. Later, the Rif radar was replaced with “ FooT-N ”, and the Yakor-M1 radar had a rectangular section, and then the “ Anchor-M2 ” radar. The ship was the first to upgrade the project 56-A: instead of the aft artillery turret, the Volna anti-aircraft missile system with the Yatagan system, two Don radars, Angara radar, Hercules-2M GAS and MI-110K receiver were installed ; The 30-mm AK-230 artillery mounts with the Rys radar were not installed.
