Career

Club

Cesare Bovo - a pupil of “ Roma ”, he spent 1 match for a club in the Italian Cup and was leased to “ Lecce ”. On October 5, 2003, he made his club debut in Serie A in a match with Brescia , lost to Lecce 1: 4. On May 2, 2004, he scored a goal for the club, which brought Lecce a 2-1 victory over Inter and a “save” from relegation to Serie B. In the summer of 2004, Bovo was rented by Parma , where he spent a good season, as a result of which the player’s transfer was redeemed by Palermo . In the summer of 2005, Bovo still returned to Roma, but did not often go on the field, due to competition from Kuffur , Kivu and Mexes .

In 2006, thanks to the insistence of the president of Palermo, Maurizio Zamparini, the club bought the rest of the rights to a football player for 2.1 million euros [2] . However, Bovo could not gain a foothold in the club and on the last day of the winter transfer window went, on loan, to Torino . In July 2007, Bovo moved to Genoa , which paid 3.3 million euros for 50% of the rights to a football player [3] . In Genoa, Bovo enjoyed the great location of the coach Gasperini , who immediately entrusted him with a place at the heart of the team.

On June 19, 2008, Bovo was bought by Palermo, which paid 4.5 million euros [4] . He made his team debut in the Italian Cup match against Ravenna . Bovo scored his first ball for the club in the third round match of Serie A with his former team, Genoa. In total for the first season he spent 28 matches and became the club's vice-captain, along with Fabrizio Mikkoli .

January 4, 2017 signed a contract with Pescara [5] [6] .

International

In the Italian national team until the age of 21, Bovo was the captain. In 2004, he won with the team the European Youth Championship , where he scored the second goal in the final game against Serbia and Montenegro [7] . In the same year he played at the Olympics , where Italians won bronze medals. At this tournament, Bovo scored a goal in the quarter finals against Mali , who led the team to the semifinals.
