The group has two studio albums: “Go to Fate” (2004) and “White City” (2009).
The music of the group is a classic high-speed power metal in the traditions of Stratovarius , Rhapsody , Sonata Arctica and is particularly melodic.
Content
History
2002-2009
The group Retriem was founded in 2002 by guitarist Pavel Chukhra , who is the permanent leader of the group, the author of music and lyrics.
As a result of the lengthy process of composition formation at the time of the release of the debut album, the group played:

After the release of the album, the group gives a large number of concerts, deserving the reputation of one of the brightest “live” groups among power metal bands in Russia.
In 2008, the group triumphs in the Times contest on Steel and performs at the Kuzminki festival “ Change Your Tomorrow ”.
In the period between the release of the first and second albums, many musicians of the Moscow metal scene played in other famous projects, such as the Colosseum , Eclipse Hunter , Ruthless Order , Onslaught, Caesar , Troy , DeadXheaD , Mavrin .
2009 - Present
At the time of the release of the album “White City”, the composition of the group stabilized after a series of permutations:

The album received high marks for the quality of the material and the performance, in particular for the work of the vocalist Grigory Strelkov, as well as expressive melodies and arrangements.
On the second album, a greater bias towards progressive metal becomes noticeable in the band's music.
Guest musicians also took part in the work on the “White City”:

At the beginning of 2010, there were changes in the composition of the group. Instead, Alexei Karpov plays Ruslan Mermovich, and Alexander Ovchinnikov took the place at the reels.
Currently, the group is active in concert and is working on material for the third full-length album.
In September 2010, Roman Krechetov took the place of the vocalist.

September 24 , 2010 it became known that Retriem will perform a cover version of the song “King of the Road” by Aria on the tribute album “ A Tribute to Aria. XXV . " [one]
On August 18, it was announced on the official website that Ilya Korovkin, who had already sang in the group in 2007 [2] [3], returned to the group of the departed vocalist Roman Krechetov.
September 20, 2011 it became known that Retriem will perform a cover version of the song "Here and Now" by Black Obelisk , which was included in the tribute album " A Tribute to Black Obelisk. XXV ”, released in 2012. [four]
In October 2012, a new single of the group called "The Beast" was released. This work is different from what the group did before. The structure of the songs has become more complicated both in terms of the instrumental part and the vocals. The single received excellent reviews from both fans and critics. The band celebrated the end of the year with the most powerful opening of the international power metal sextet Dragonforce .
In the winter of 2013, Retriem began shooting the first video clip in the history of the group.
