Western Manzala

West Manzala is a group of gas condensate fields in Egypt . Located west of Lake Manzala . Opened in 2006 .

Gas content is associated with deposits of Pliocene and Miocene ages. Deposits are located at a depth of 1.5-3.2 km. Initial gas reserves are estimated at 50 billion m3.

The group includes deposits: Luzi, Hurani, El Tawil, Salma, Azar, Tulip, Sharabas, Sama, Faraskur Faraskur), Marzouk (Marzouk) and Okid (Orchid).

The operator of Western Manzala is Dana Gas ( Sharjah , UAE ). Dana Gas is considering options for operating the Western Manzala with subsequent gas processing at the El Wastani or South El Manzala gas processing plants.
