Sluchevsky, Kapiton Konstantinovich

Kapiton Konstantinovich Sluchevsky ( January 19, 1843 - March 14, 1906 ) was a Russian engineer-general , a participant in the Russo-Turkish war of 1877-1878 and the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905 , a military writer.

He graduated from the Nikolaev Engineering School (1859) and the Nikolaev Engineering Academy.

The commander of the Grenadier Engineer Battalion (06/22/1877 - 06/19/1883).

Since 1883 - commander of the Life Guard of the Mining Battalion.

Major General (1886).

Since 1889 - the head of the 1st combat engineer brigade.

Lieutenant General (1896).

Commander of the 10th Army Corps (09.15.1901-30.10.1904).

Since 1904 - at the disposal of the Commander-in-Chief of the forces operating against Japan.

General engineer since 1905.

Since March 1905 - Member of the Military Council and the Council of State Defense .

Had 7 children.
