Story
The film takes place in Poland at the end of the XIX century . Stanislav Vokulsky, the son of a poor nobleman, starts small, working as a waiter. Iron will and industriousness allow him to get a university education and become one of the richest industrialists in Poland. But for the upper world, he remains an impudent upstart ... Like a bolt of lightning, love for the proud and inaccessible Countess Isabella Lenzka comes to him. A powerful, unbending man of great energy, he loses his will at the thought of this woman. Neither money nor power can make his love mutual - Isabella is as cold as a china doll [1] .
