Biography
Otamendi made his debut in the Example for Veles in a home match against Rosario Central on May 10, 2008, won with a score of 2: 1. When coach Hugo Tokali Otmanedi was considered only the fifth central defender of the team, however, everything changed with the arrival of “Veles” Ricardo Gareki . Otamendi replaced the injured Waldo Ponce at the heart of the team during Klausura 2009, which Veles eventually became the champion, and Otamendi himself made such a strong impression on his playing that Diego Maradona was called up for Argentina .
