Repeating dreams are dreams that exactly or with a high degree of coincidence reproduce the same plot , of which the subject is an observer or participant. Between repetitions can be an interval from several days to several years.
In the Jungian tradition, recurring dreams carry content that a person, for one reason or another, is not ready to realize, integrate and who seek to contact with the Ego . Exactly repeating motifs of dreams are considered to be a particular, extreme case of a series of dreams — such is their sequence (at least during the work of the dreamer with the analyst), in which the images are grouped around the same complex with the archetypical core. Repetitions in dreams (or repetition of a motive in a series of dreams) are especially accurate when there is neurosis as a conflict between consciousness and unconscious contents. [one]
