Jiro Tamon ( Jap. 多 門 二郎 Tamon Jiro:, 1878-1934) - Lieutenant General of the Imperial Army of Japan , participant in the Japanese intervention in Manchuria .

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1878. In 1898 he graduated from Rikugun Sikan Gakko . He participated in the Russian-Japanese war . After the war, he studied at Rikugun daigakko (graduated in 1909), and was appointed chief of staff of the 6th division. He then commanded the 62nd Infantry Regiment, spent six months traveling around Europe. In 1920, he was in Siberia with the 27th Infantry Regiment as part of Japanese troops in Russia . During the Nikolaev incident, commanded a separate military group ("Tamon group"). Later, Jiro Tamon was seconded to the Sakhalin Expeditionary Force, from 1921 to 1922 he commanded the 2nd Regiment, from 1922 to 1924 he was the chief of staff of the 4th Division, then he was given command of the 6th Brigade. From 1925 to 1927 he headed the 4th Bureau of the General Staff , then returned to Rikugun daigakko - first as a director, and from 1929 onwards as a commandant.
From 1930 to 1933, already a lieutenant general, Jiro Tamon commanded the 2nd division. While in Manchuria, he participated in the capture of Heilongjiang , the Jinzhou operation , the capture of Harbin . In 1933 he was sent to the reserve and resigned.
