On December 1, 2000, on the basis of the 600th Separate Guards Battalion of the Marine Corps and the 414th Separate Battalion of the Marine Corps (formed in 1999 in the town of Kaspiysk of the Republic of Dagestan), the 77th Separate Guards Order of the Lenin-Chernigov Order of the Red Banner was formed, Order of Suvorov Marine Corps Brigade .

When, after the war, the 77th Guards Division was reorganized into a brigade of marines, they tried to take the Battle Banner and the orders of the famous rifle formation from her. The Moscow Committee of War Veterans has achieved that the divisional Combat Banner was transferred to the brigade of marines. Now the compound is housed in the Caspian (Dagestan), is actively involved in the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus. The Moscow government allocated more than 10 million rubles for the construction of the brigade. Such is the connection between the Moscow national militia and the current Muscovites, with the current generation of defenders of the Motherland.
