The China Center for Economic Research ( Eng. The China Center for Economic Research , CCER) is an economic research and educational institution ( Beijing ). The center was founded in 1994; is a division of Peking University . The purpose of the center is the use of new methods of teaching and research, as well as the unification of Chinese economists who have received education abroad. The founder and director of the center is Professor Justin Yifu Lin .
The Center holds an annual conference in conjunction with the US National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER-CCER Annual Conference); organizes a series of workshops and seminars.
As an educational institution, the center implements a number of areas of training, including the MBA program together with Fordham University ( New York ). Leading American scientists are involved in teaching, including J. Strauss and Nobel laureate J. Heckman .
