Checkeril is a mountain (hill) and a sports resort in Udmurtia , located in the suburbs of Izhevsk .

Geographical position
Chekeril is located 12 km south-west of the center of Izhevsk, partly located in the Leninsky district of Izhevsk, and partly in the Zavyalovsky district . Near the mountain flows the river Chumoyka , on which a small pond is arranged, and Izhevsk bypass road runs less than 1 km away.
Checkeril is one of the highest points in the Zavyalovsky district and Izhevsk, before the organization of the sports resort, which had a height of 201.4 m above sea level. After which it is artificially raised a few meters [1] . The maximum height difference between the top and the foot is more than 100 m.
Sports Resort
The sports resort was opened in 2002 on December 24 and mass skiing was organized at it. In 2003, the first modern ski lift in Udmurtia was installed and commissioned in the resort. In December 2004, the All-Russian School of Ski Instructors was held for the first time on the resort’s tracks under the leadership of the President of VAGI (All-Russian Association of Ski Instructors) Remizov L. P. Moscow. The reconstruction of the resort, begun in 2005, lasted 3 years, while maintaining the possibility of skiing in winter. Prior to this, there was a sports base on the mountain for the top leadership of Izhmash , which in the 90s almost ceased to function.
Now it consists of 11 tracks of varying difficulty, an ice rink, ski racing tracks, training and tubing tracks. Equipped with ski lifts, snowmaking system and evening lighting.
At the resort there is a hotel with a restaurant and a bath complex.
The Cup of the Head of the Udmurt Republic in alpine skiing is held annually in February [2] .
A youth sports school was organized.
Work Mode
- Tuesday - friday: from 12:00 to 22:00.
- Saturday, Sunday: from 10:00 to 22:00.
- Monday - from 16:00 to 22:00.
Public Transport
Several times a day, a shuttle bus No. 53 runs to Checkeril.
