Peter Mikhailovich Saltykov (died in 1690 ) - the son of boyar Mikhail Mikhailovich Saltykov , Kravchiy (1639–40), boyar (from 1657), second cousin of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich .

On the board of his relative, he enjoyed his confidence and led many orders :
- Cash collection ;
- Judicial Vladimirsky ( 1659 - 1661 );
- Vladimir and Galitsky quarters;
- Little Russian ( 1662 - 1667 );
- Big Treasury ( 1670 - 1673 ).
He was the head of the commission of inquiry in the case of Patriarch Nikon , was present at the final verdict of his trial. Voivode in Tobolsk ( 1673 - 1677 ), Astrakhan ( 1677 - 1678 ) and Smolensk ( 1681 ).
On May 15, 1682, the archers during the riot killed his son, the stolnik Fedor Petrovich, who was mistaken for Athanasius Naryshkin . After understanding, they took the body of the murdered to his father with an apology. The old man answered: “God's will!”, And ordered the killers to be treated with wine and beer [1] .
Wife Elena Vasilievna (died August 5, 1686 ) [2] . Saltykov died in July 1690 . Among the heirs of his estate are his son Alexei , grandchildren Vasily and Mikhail .
