The first appeal of a major triad is a major sixth chord , in which the lower sound is third. The second appeal is a major quarter- string chord , with a fifth as a lower sound [2] .

The major triad and its appeals include large and small third, as well as a pure quart.

Terminology

Although the term major triad is often used to refer to any vertical structures of the described type (regardless of the historical era and music stock ), this use is essentially incorrect if it refers to high-altitude systems in which there is no major fret. In the analyzes of polyphonic compositions of the Middle Ages (for example, Guillaume de Masho ), where there is no major-minor key, it is more correct to talk about the Terzquinta accord (a harmony that was thought to be composed of 2 intervals), and polyphonic music of the Renaissance, where the idea of a chord is formed , but there is still no major fret (for example, in the masses of Josquin Depres ), it is more correct to speak of a large (and not major ) triad.

General Information

A major triad consists of three tones with an integer ratio of sound frequencies

Major triad is one of the major chords , which include sounds that are separated from the main tone by a large third and a pure fifth. Major and minor major seventh chords are also major .

Major triad is a diatonic chord and is built on the I , IV and V steps of natural major . These three triads more clearly express modal functions, thanks to which they are called the main triads and are designated as the main steps: T , S , D. In natural minor there are also three major triads, which are not on the main steps of the fret, and therefore are called secondary . In harmonic major or minor there are only two major triads.

The abbreviated designation for major triad [3] is M 5 3 , which corresponds to the type of chord and the intervals included in it. According to the system of alphanumeric notation for chords , major triad is denoted using an uppercase Latin letter and the optional prefix dur , which determines the chord mode [4] : for example, C major triad is denoted as C or C-dur .

Major triad is consonant , since it arises as a result of division of perfect consonance (fifths) according to the ratios of arithmetic proportions (4: 5: 6, large third + minor third) [5] .

Major triad, as well as minor, is one of the main elements of the tonal music of the New Age . In classical music , minor triad is considered to be darker than major [6] , however, major triad is stable and does not require resolution .
