Biography
She was involved in athletics and basketball as a child, and devoted 4 years to athletics. She entered the handball section at the age of 13 at the invitation of the coach and future husband Vladimir Odinokov , who arrived in Otradny in 1970 and opened the first handball section in the city. In 1971 she became the top scorer of the championship of the Kuibyshev region. In 1972, as part of the RSFSR national team, Lyubov Berezhnaya took part in the 22nd All-Union Olympics for schoolchildren. In 1973 she moved to the city of Krasnoyarsk, where she began to play for the Tsvetmet team (coaches Konstantin Velikov and Valentin Telyatnikov). From the team "Tsvetmet" was enrolled in the youth team of the country. In preparation for the Olympic Games, he transferred to the base team of the country “ Rostselmash ” ( Rostov-on-Don ) [1] . In 1976 she received an invitation to the USSR national team, in the same year for the first time to become an Olympic champion. After 4 years in Moscow, the second Olympic gold wins.
She played for Burevestnik ( Krasnoyarsk ), since 1976 - Rostselmash ( Rostov-on-Don ), since 1978 - Spartak ( Kiev ).
Currently lives with her husband in Norway, to which she moved in the early 1990s, is engaged in coaching activities [2] . The son of the Lonely went in the footsteps of his parents and also plays handball.
