Andrew "Drew" Doughty ( born Drew Doughty ; December 8, 1989 , London , Ontario , Canada ) is a professional Canadian hockey player . Defender of the NHL team “ Los Angeles Kings ”. Two- time Stanley Cup winner ( 2012 , 2014 ) and two-time Olympic champion (2010, 2014).

Career
Club career
During his junior career, Doughty played for the Ontario Hockey League 's Storm Gelph club. [2] In 2008, he was selected by the NHL draft under the general 2nd number by the Los Angeles Kings team. [3] Having established himself in a training camp, Doughty, at the age of eighteen, signed a contract with the Kings. [4] On October 11, 2008, he made his debut in the NHL against San Jose Sharks , and on October 20 threw his first goal, hitting the Colorado Avalanche goal. [5] During the 2008/09 season, Doughty played 81 games on the court in which he hit the opponents' goal 6 times and assisted his partners 21 more times. [6] In 2012, together with team partners, he won the Stanley Cup, defeating the New Jersey Devils team in the final with a score in the series 4-2. Two years later he repeated his success, defeating the New York Rangers in five matches in the final . At the end of the season 2015/16 was recognized as the best defender of the league, for which he received James Norris Trophy . [7]
International Career
As part of the Canadian hockey team, Doughty became the winner of the youth world championship in the Czech Republic in 2008 [8] and the silver medalist of the world championship in Switzerland in 2009. [9] On February 28, 2010, Doughty became the Olympic champion in the Vancouver Winter Olympics . February 23, 2014 became the Olympic champion in Sochi .
