The administrative center is the village of 2nd Melekhino .

Geography

The settlements of the Melekhinsky Village Council are located along the banks of the Rat River and its small tributaries.

History

By the decision of the Shchigrovsky District Executive Committee of February 15, 1960, the settlements of the abolished Ozyorsk Village Council were included in the Melekhinsky Village Council [2] .

On October 26, 1965, some changes took place within the Melekhinsky Village Council: the village of the Ozyorki state farm and the Internatsionalnaya village were merged into the Internatsionalnaya village, Loza farm that virtually ceased to exist was excluded from accounting documents, and the village of Sukhodol state farm was renamed Sukhodol [2] .

On May 4, 1967, the villages of Krutoe , Karek , Kolodezki , Kunach , Matveevka , Internatsionalnaya, Ozerki , 1st and 2nd Patepnik , Kalinina village and Sukhodol village were transferred from the Melekhinsky Village Council to the newly formed Krutovsky Village Council [3] .

In June 1969, the village of Kamenev Polyana and the village of Maxim Gorky, the Melekhinsky Village Council , were merged into the village of Kamenev Polyana [3] .

The Melekhinsky village council received the status of a rural settlement in accordance with the law of the Kursk region No. 48-ZKO “On municipalities of the Kursk region” of October 14, 2004 [4] .

Transport

The Melekhinsky Village Council is connected with the Krutovsky and Titovsky Village Councils by a paved road. There is a suburban bus service to the city of Shchigry .
