Biography
Born on August 23, 1925 in a peasant family in the village of Istopki, Elninsky district, Smolensk province (now the Elninsky district , Smolensk region ). After graduating from the 8th grade, he studied at the political education institute.
After the start of World War II, he was in the occupied territory. From October 1941 to August 1942 , Nikolay Morozov, who was then only 16 years old, was a machine gunner in a partisan regiment named after the 24th anniversary of the Red Army, operating on the territory of the Smolensk region. After the liberation of the territory from the fascists, in September 1943 he was drafted into the Red Army by the Vskhodsky military enlistment office. Since January 1944 at the front. He fought on the Leningrad front as part of the 109th Infantry Division of the 42nd Army. In March 1944 he was wounded during the Leningrad-Novgorod operation . In May 1944, he was seriously wounded.
After recovery, he served as a reconnaissance detachment of a separate reconnaissance company in the 1244th rifle rifle regiment of the 374th rifle Lyuban division , which fought as part of the 1st Shock Army, 3rd Baltic Front . He participated in the battles of Narva , Vyborg , liberated the Baltics .
For the distinction shown in the battles in Latvia, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree in September 1944, and in March 1945 - the Order of the Glory of the 2nd degree. In October 1944 he was awarded the Order of the Red Star. On June 29, 1945, Senior Sergeant N. A. Morozov, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for courage, bravery and heroism shown in the fight against the German fascist invaders, was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.
In 1946 he was demobilized. After the war, he lived in the town of Yelnya , where he worked as an inspector for the district office of Vtorchermet. Died on June 11 [1] 1979 . Buried in a fraternal cemetery.
