Biography

Born in Vetlug in September 1868 . In 1893 he graduated from the Institute of Civil Engineers of Emperor Nicholas I in St. Petersburg with the title of Civil Engineer.

While serving in the army in 1893-1894, he worked on the reconstruction of the Engineering Castle in St. Petersburg , and from 1894 to 1901 he served in the TSK Ministry of Internal Affairs . In 1894-1897 he worked on the construction of the Industrial School of F.V. Chizhov in Kostroma . In 1898-1900 he worked as an assistant architect L. N. Kekushev , in collaboration with which architect S. S. Shutsman carried out the project of the Metropol hotel.

Since 1901, he constantly lived in Moscow. In 1908, N. L. Shevyakov became the architect of the Rumyantsev Museum , and in 1911 the architect of the Nikolaev Lyceum. Joined the Moscow Architectural Society in 1910. Since 1915 he was enlisted as an engineer at the 5th branch of the City Council.

Shevyakov combined architectural practice with teaching: in 1904-1912 he taught at the Priorov Construction Courses; from 1906 to 1915 - at the Women's Construction Courses, in 1926 - at MIIT . In 1918, the architect was a member of the Technical Council in the Construction Department of the Bureau of the Moscow Council of District Dumas. The architect’s further life path has not been clarified [1] [2] . However, it is known that in the year the Great Patriotic War began, he lived in his homeland, in the city of Vetlug (now Nizhny Novgorod region), where he died and was buried in the City Cemetery [3] .
