Live file system

Live File System (LFS) is a concept used by Windows (Vista and above) to burn optical discs formatted in the UDF file system. You can write files to a CD using this format at any time, as well as delete already recorded files to free up space (if the disk is rewritable ).

Compatibility Issues

In older operating systems , a third-party driver must be installed to support later versions of UDF. For compatibility with Windows XP, you must use the UDF system version no higher than 2.01.
