Content
Geography
The village is located 70 kilometers along the Chuysky tract from Gorno-Altaysk , at the confluence of the Kamlak River in Semu . It stretched along the highway for 3 kilometers.
One of the paths to the caves located 15 km begins from the village. Kamyshlinsky karst site ( Kek-Tash , SOANtehnicheskaya , etc.). Caves are not sightseeing sites, but they are visited by lovers of sports speleotourism with special equipment and training.
Climate
The climate is sharply continental . Cold snowy winters (up to −40 ° C) and hot (up to +40 ° C) summers with frequent severe thunderstorms, sometimes with hail. On average, snow falls in early November.
History
It is believed that this is a very ancient sacred place, where kams (Altai shamans ) gathered from all over Altai and carried out mass devotion. Now the Gorno-Altai Botanical Garden is located in this meadow, which, in turn, is located on the territory of the Shishkular-Katail - Chisty Lug nature monument (from the mouth of the Sema River to the village of Kamlak).

Development
Tourist Complex
There is a project for the construction of an all-weather tourist complex "Kamlak". The ski complex will be located on the slopes near the village, which are a ridge 1.3 km long. The upper part of the complex is located on the top of the mountain at an altitude of 875 m., And the lower in the valley of the Great Kamlak River.
The total area of the complex is 8 hectares. The highest elevation is 875 m above sea level. The lower elevation is 360 m. Above sea level. Slopes without a forest with large clearings. The steepness of the slopes from 10 - 25 °. Duration of snow cover from 5 months (from late November to mid-April). The average temperatures in winter are from −10 ... −15 ° C.
