About the album
Best of 2001-2009 includes the best songs released between 2001 and 2009. While most of the songs have already been released, this collection contains a new previously unreleased song called “October & April”, performed by Anette Olzon from Nightwish . The song was recorded at the same time as the other songs from the last studio album of Black Roses , but it was not included because it did not correspond to the concept of that album.
The song “Open My Eyes” appears in the acoustic version of the concert performance, this is the flip side of the single “Shot” and was originally taken from the British edition of the 2005 album “ Hide from the Sun ”.
