Biography
The son of Lieutenant General Christian Ivanovich Truzson . He joined the military service in 1786 as a corporal in the Life Guards Horse Regiment , and on February 10, 1796, he was promoted to lieutenant of the Engineering Corps.
He took part in campaigns in Austria in 1805 , against Sweden in 1808 and on the Danube in 1810-1812 . Then he fought with the French in the Patriotic War of 1812 (for the distinction he was promoted to colonel ) and subsequent foreign campaigns of 1813 and 1814 .
Since 1821, Truzson served in the engineers of the Separate Caucasian Corps , in 1826 he was appointed chief of engineers of the 2nd Army and on August 12, 1827 promoted to major general . In this position, he fought with the Persians in Azerbaijan and Armenia . November 26, 1826 was awarded the Order of St. George 4th degree (No. 3878 according to the cavalier list of Grigorovich - Stepanov), and on October 29 of the following year he was awarded the same order of 3rd degree (No. 400 according to the cavalier lists ):

Also on January 1, 1828, he was bestowed with a golden sword with diamond jewelry and the inscription "For Courage . "
In 1840, Truzson was appointed commandant of the Bobruisk Fortress and promoted to lieutenant general on April 16 of the following year. He held the post of commandant for over 20 years to a very old age, becoming in 1863 the oldest lieutenant general in service [1] . On November 6, 1863, the elderly Truzson was promoted to general engineer and dismissed from his post and enlisted in the reserve troops in the engineering corps, which he was until his death in September 1865.
His brother Ivan was a lieutenant general and was chairman of the Engineering Division of the Military Scientific Committee.
