Biography
The son of a retired lieutenant, Prince Peter Petrovich Golitsyn (1827-1902) from his marriage with Julia Alexandrovna Chertkova. In 1881 he graduated from the Imperial Alexander Lyceum . After serving military service in the Life Guards Pavlovsky Regiment entered the service in the State Chancellery.
In the 90s - Assistant Secretary of State of the State Council, since 1902 member of the Council of the Minister of Education.
Since 1906, he was a fellow of the head manager, and from January 1, 1910, the head of the Private EIV Office of the Chancellery for the Establishment of Empress Mary .
Writer, novelist (literary pseudonym Muravlin and Dmitry Chertkov [1] ).
Member of the Council of the Society of Adherents of Russian Historical Education in memory of Emperor Alexander III, member-director of the Literary and Art Society. In January 1901 he was elected chairman of the Council of the Russian Assembly ; held this position until March 1906. The first honorary member of the Russian Assembly. Honorary Chairman of the 1st All-Russian Congress of Russian People in St. Petersburg February 8-12, 1906.
In April 1912 he was appointed a member of the Council of State , in which he was a member of the right group.
In 1920, he fled from Soviet Russia, lived in Hungary, where in 1921 he was a representative of the Supreme Monarchical Council, and since 1922 he was a representative of Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich . Collaborated in the magazine "Two-headed eagle."
He died in 1928.

He was married to Olga Semyonovna Kharitonova. Son: Peter Dmitrievich Golitsyn (b. June 29, 1888).
