Biography
Leila Behti was born into an Algerian family in the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux, in the Ильle-de-France region in 1984 . After graduating from a literary school with a theatrical bias in the Lyceum of Maurice Genevois ( Fr. Lycée Maurice Genevoix ) in the town of Montrouge, she attends the theater courses of Stephen Gilde ( Fr. Stéphane Gildas ) for six months, then a course at the Berengere Bastier art studio ( Fr. Bérengère Basty ). In 2005, she successfully auditioned for the role in the movie " Shaitan ", where Jasmine plays the role, along with Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel [1] .
After playing in the movie Shaitan , she was spotted by director Geraldine Nakash and was invited to play in her movie All That Shines . Prior to this, Leyla played the role of Jamila in the movie “ The Prophet ”, which received many awards and nominations, including the Academy Award as the best film in a foreign language.
Personal life
Leyla Behti is married to French actor Tahar Rahim , whom she met on the set of the movie “The Prophet” [2] .
