The water surface is 9.44 km² , length is 12.5 km , width is 2.4 km (minimum is about 200 m ), average depth is about 10 m, maximum is 46 m. The lake is located in the Masurian lake area , a river flows out - Krutynia , a tributary of Pisa . The mirror area of the lake is constantly decreasing; back in the 1950s , it was about 12 km². [1] Also in Beldany, the process of eutrophication is actively taking place.
There are 8 islands on the lake, with a total area of 3.3 hectares . Litoral occupies about a quarter of the surface of the lake. Zander , pike , perch , eel , bream , roach live in the waters.
Beldany Lake is one of the tourism centers in Poozerye; boarding houses and recreation centers are located on the shores.
